Benchworks Produces Back-to-School Kits for Third Year
Monday, July 27th - 2009CHESTERTOWN, MD—For the third year, Benchworks has been the source for creating specialized back-to-school kits for both physicians’ offices and patients for a leading pharmaceutical company that is a provider of ADHD medicines for children. The goal of the back-to-school kits is to provide sales representatives of the medicine with packaged information they can present to doctors writing prescriptions. Doctors also receive customized binders they can give to their patients with information relevant for both parents and children. The Benchworks team is responsible for creating and distributing both binders and all included collateral. The back-to-school kits are a representation of Benchworks’ full suite of services from creative design to online tool generation, fulfillment, and complete project management.
This year’s back-to-school kits utilize a new binder that is representative of Benchworks’ resources and creative solutions. The binder combines functionality for parents and children and has a multi-use design intended first to share information about the medicine and then to serve as a school binder for the child.
Inside the binder parents will find materials providing general knowledge about ADHD and the medicines used to treat it and brochures about the rights children with ADHD have in the school system. For the child, the new binder includes a Homework Planner notepad with tear sheets designed to help the child organize homework and create a plan to tackle assignments. There is also a booklet for the child by Dr. Anita Blazer that describes ADHD and some of the classroom situations the child may encounter as well as suggested ways to respond to those situations.
Many recipients of the ADHD medicine come from Medicaid families, and Benchworks developed the binder and its additional included materials of a pencil pouch, pencils, and other supplies to help offset the cost of school supplies that some families may incur.
The upgraded binders and revised materials for doctors, parents, and patients will begin shipping late July to the pharmaceutical company’s sales representatives and doctors and families will see the binders long before school starts. In addition to the back-to-school kits, Benchworks designed and launched an online ordering tool that regional directors can access to allocate additional kits to their representatives. In the first year Benchworks managed this campaign 75,000 binders were shipped. This year upward of 100,000 binders will be distributed.
