Benchworks Collaborates With UMUC for 2009 Service Awards

CHESTERTOWN, MD—Each year the University of Maryland University College recognizes certain staff for their outstanding years of service, success, and excellence. For the 2009 Service Achievement Awards, UMUC engaged Benchworks to select gifts befitting the designated years of service which will then be available to award recipients on a designated, Benchworks-designed website for the recipients to select and order. Benchworks will also handle the ordering, branding of the gifts, and the fulfillment of the gifts to the award recipients.

UMUC held a banquet in November to honor the recipients of the Service Achievement Awards which were given to those staff who have served for 10, 15, 20, and 35 years with the school. In addition to the banquet recognition, recipients will go to the customized award website where they will select from a variety of gifts in their particular award category. Items ranging from watches to leather briefcases to rolling luggage are available for selection depending on the service category and each category includes three to four gift options for the recipients. The Benchworks online ordering system is easy for the recipient to use and once a gift is selected Benchworks will manage the process of branding the item with the UMUC logo and years of service, and ship the gift to the award recipient.
