Benchworks Earns International Project for UMUC Asia Apparel

CHESTERTOWN, MD—Benchworks has partnered with University of Maryland University College on multiple projects and has recently been commissioned to handle a variety of marketing components for the UMUC Asia line of UMUC Gear.

Following a successful launch of the Benchworks e-commerce solution in 2009, UMUC’s marketing department chose to consolidate all UMUC brands into one e-commerce platform. Benchworks currently manages four UMUC Gear product lines: UMUC, UMUC Europe, UMUC Asia, and UMUC Alumni. The addition of the UMUC Asia Gear product line creates an all-inclusive store and allows UMUC to foster and maintain a cohesive brand presence.

In addition, Benchworks responded to UMUC Asia’s need for international logo designs for their student demographic. The Benchworks creative services team created the graphics and logo designs for the UMUC Asia Gear product line. A Benchworks project manager is responsible for providing item samples to UMUC, ordering new products, stocking these products, and fulfilling orders for UMUC Gear. Items include high-quality apparel and merchandise that align strategically with UMUC’s brand. The new UMUC Asia Gear line will be integrated with the UMUC Gear store and procurement and fulfillment will be completed via the Benchworks warehouse in Chestertown.
