Benchworks Creates Shire's Big Give Microsite

Shire Pharmaceuticals' “Big Give” is a region-wide collection drive for "Cradles to Crayons," a nonprofit organization serving greater Philadelphia with the distribution of basic essentials for children in need from birth to age 12. This is the 4th year Shire sponsored the event at their Chesterbrook/Wayne campus. Shire’s goal this year was to provide basic necessities to 5,000 children in just two days.
Benchworks was asked to design the website, http://shirebiggive.com/, to get the word out to Shire employees and others in the 5 county Philadelphia area. Other elements of the campaign completed by the Benchworks team included a Facebook page update, email communications, banners and other event day materials such as shirts and signage.
Benchworks met a very tight timeframe with designs starting the end of August, and the site going live in less than a month. The Benchworks team did an outstanding job getting this project off the ground and completed in so little time. The client was very pleased with the site and the project received positive press in the Philadelphia area.
In addition, to support Shire’s Big Give project, Benchworks’ employees donated children's clothing, coats, shoes, school supplies, books, toys, and baby safety equipment and delivered them to Shire on the day of the event.
